Mark A. Workman, M.D.

Born and raised in Ashland, Ohio, Dr. Mark Workman always knew he wanted to be a doctor. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Ohio State University in 1990. He went on to intern as a general surgeon, completed his residency in Anesthesiology and completed a fellowship in Pain Management. He practiced in Ohio until moving to Wichita Falls when recruited by the Clinics of North Texas in 1999. In 2006, he joined the Pain Rehabilitation Group of Wichita Falls.
Dr. Workman specializes in both interventional pain management and medication management. In addition to his training in interventional procedures, working alongside a neurosurgeon he enhanced his proficiency in the placement of spinal cord stimulators to provide another option for treating his patients. Dr. Workman has been a speaker for several pharmaceutical companies and has been a local speaker and advocate for the safe use of schedule ii medications. He believes that treatment of pain should be individualized to the patient’s needs as no two patients respond identically to the same treatments.
Dr. Workman is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Pain Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians as well as other national and local associations. He enjoys business conferences where he is able to interact with other professionals in the pain management field.
Dr. Workman and his wife have six children and eight grandchildren. He loves being with the grandkids whether it is swimming, having light saber battles, building sandcastles or constructing Legos. He also loves running, tennis, golf and reading.
